Description

To demonstrate interference, refraction and the spectrum of light, when it passes through two glass plates one convex and the other flat, when pressed together. The rings that are generated are called Newton’s Rings. Consists of a pair of glass plates, optically polished, 1.6 inch (40 mm) in diameter, visible 1.33 inch (34 mm), one plane and the other plano-convex mounted together in a frame. Pressure between plates adjustable by three nickel plated brass screws.
